Behind the art

Inspiration

Inspired by the joy music brings to all creatures and the whimsical idea of animals expressing themselves through instruments, creating a character that embodies creativity and artistic expression

Artist notes

I've always loved the idea of animals playing instruments - there's something universally appealing about it. The llama's long neck and calm demeanor make it perfect for a guitarist. I wanted to create a character that inspires children to explore music while also giving them a fun, detailed image to color. The guitar details provide an opportunity to learn about instruments while coloring
